Zach Attack!

Zach had never fly fished before until this day, but it sure didn't take him long to get it figured out! After catching multiple other nice brookies that morning, we didn't think nothing of it when this one latched on....until I seen the big flash going through the hole. I knew right away this one was going to be a fish to remember, and I wasn't wrong! This MONSTER measured out over 22" long (56 cm) and is an estimated 5 lb + brook trout based on length and girth! My jaw is still hanging on the ground in awe!

Brookie for the Rookie!

Robert had never took a fly rod in his hand before this day! But after landing this BEAUTY 20" Brook Trout estimated at 3.75 lbs, I think it's safe to say he's HOOKED on fly fishing now!

Danny's Delightful Day!

Danny had done a lot of trout fishing in Newfoundland and Labrador, but his personal record was only 17" long. Well, in about 1 hour of fishing, he tied that record 2 times and broke it 3 times landing two 17s, two 18s, and a 19! And to add another fun fact, his son was here with me 3 years ago and broke all his records with his biggest fish measuring 19" as well. I'm hoping now that they'll both be back to see who can break the tie!

Record Wrecker!

David had fished a lot in New Brunswick for brookies, but had never caught anything big. So he decided to book an afternoon with me. We walked into the pool, he tossed his line into the current, and on the first cast, just 30 seconds after getting into the water, David hooked the fish of his dreams! (And mine too!) Measuring a little over the 21' mark and well over the 4lb mark, this brookie SMASHED all his personal records as well as mine too! I'm never taking him fishing again!! LOL

Fidan had been fishing many times with other buddies and had no luck at all! So he finally called the right guy! Long story short, we landed and released over a dozen beauties that morning alone! He knows who to call now when he wants to get some fish!

Father/Son Trip

What's even better than hooking up your first fish on a fly rod? Josh will be the first to tell you that it's doing it with Dad! I had the privilege of taking out 2 great friends of mine on a little father/son outing. All total, they caught and released 16 great fish that evening!

I had been having some success at a new hole I found, so I thought I'd take my Dad out for a morning to catch some fish. But I didn't mean for him to haul up Shamu out of MY spot! With this 22" Brook Trout weighing in at 4.25 lbs, he SHATTERED both his and my personal records! And being caught in a 'Catch and Keep' area, this once in a lifetime brookie went straight to the taxidermist!
